5th Test Sydney
In advanced countries we have mobile pitch covers with wheels. Both the MCG and the SCG appear not to have them and make do with some kind of hessian sheet. Fair dinkum.

We're gonna lose 3-1

In advanced countries they also have bathrooms with separate a shower and bath. They don't put carpet in the toilet and wash twice a day.

Looks like Mitchell Starc may have been brought back a bit early.

Re: 5th Test Sydney
Not even enough confidence in the tail to send in a night watchman. Pathetic. Meanwhile 9 of them will be playing county cricket next season to prepare for 2019. How fuckin dumb we are

New ball. Last over. 228 for 3. Ends 233 for 5. Couldn't make that shit up.

Re: 5th Test Sydney
A lot of players in need of a good performance to hold their places for the next series in NZ for England.
From Australian point of view Bancroft & Khawaja could do with a score with the party to S Africa named mid January

Re: 5th Test Sydney
Call for a night watchman is up to the batsman in most teams.
Bairstow may be regretting not sending Anderson in

Maniac decision to send/allow Bairstow in... absolute mental

Re: 5th Test Sydney
I was listening to Boycott this morning and admittedly he was on one of his rants, but he's so right. Someone wrote an email and asked the question why do we allow Jafa's to play in county cricket ahead of an ashes series in England, when the Jafa's don't allow us to play Sheffield shield ahead of an ashes series down there. Simon Mann (The weak cnut) said oh well that because there's more counties than states so we have room to fit them in and there simply isn't enough states for England players to play. And Boycott was like "Oh well that's there problem, not ours. When we come here they gives us nothing". Time we started paying back the favour" And I was thinking you are dead right again Mr Boycott. Give em fuck all. Slap a 2 year ban on any Jafa playing in England 2 years ahead of a home ashes series. Give em three warm up games against a Somerset 3rd IX, like they do us, and its straight into the 1st test at Headingley, fuck em. Cunts. Fucking wise up ECB, were being taken for a fucking clown

Re: 5th Test Sydney
Perhaps BOYCS should have a word to Yorkshire who employed Handscomb & Shaun Marsh last summer. Plus Jake Lehmann & Travis Head the season before.
Marsh finished the season there and am sure playing that cricket meant he started the Aust season ahead of a few players form wise.
I see Mitchell Marsh has turned his back on the IPL to get a full red ball season in at Surrey.
I’d like to see a few more batsmen over there getting experience plus the likes of Jhye Richardson & Billy Stanlake.

Re: 5th Test Sydney
Again. Time we started to return the favour, including 3 x warm up matches against Somerset 3rd team IX. Its got to change. Strauss needs to sort this out.

Re: 5th Test Sydney
I’d be curious to know what the warm up games offered to Australia were in England in 2015.
Tours these days are compressed without the long lead ins of days gone by.
By the time England arrived in Australia the domestic season was due to start so all the states were playing Sheffield Shield cricket.
I’m guessing it was a similar situation in England in 2015.

England always bring 40 players to Australia so could easily have organised a match against the Lions if that’s what they wanted

Looking forward to the Crane boy bowling. Sydney always has a bit in it for the spinners. I think he played a bit for NSW as well.

Re: 5th Test Sydney
Sven

How many England players have player shield cricket in the last 30 years ?

Then ask yourself how many Jafa's have played county cricket in the last 30 years ?

That is all. Answer the questions

eric5bellies 3:44 Thu Jan 4
Re: 5th Test Sydney
And for the record in 2015 you played practice matches against Essex, Kent, Derbyshire and Northamptonshire, which is a fuckin lot better than the shite England faced on this tour. Just have a look at the Aussie IX line ups..... Pathetic. Not even a Sheffield shield player in site

Sven Roeder 4:23 Thu Jan 4
Re: 5th Test Sydney
(a) 2 (Ian Botham 1988 Mason Crane 2016)
(b) 256. Shane Warne even has a stand named after him

Re: 5th Test Sydney
If Cook (I don't count his 200 plus in a dead rubber), Root and particularly Moeen and Broad had been anything like, the outcome would be a lot closer. The positives have been the relative success of the less experienced players and I'm quite confident we will regain the Ashes in two years time, possibly subject to finding a way of getting Smith out!

Swiss. 4:47 Thu Jan 4
Re: 5th Test Sydney
Even with Cook , Root, Moeen and Broad letting us down if we'd had Stokes it would have made a difference.
